The Society not only recognizes esteemed thinkers and innovators, but also students who are learning to
innovate and apply thinking skills. Each year a scholarship is named after the inductee, and is awarded
to a student demonstrating extraordinary innovation and academic success.
Scholarship funding is dependent on donations to the foundation for that year. For 2010, the Society and
the University of Advancing Technology made available $195,900 in scholarships.
In 2009, the Society and the University of Advancing Technology, in honor of that year’s inductee, created
the Ray Kurzweil Scholarship to recognize students who innovate and advance the field of technology.
